Our Mission Statement
- TCRI is a model of rural healthcare outcome enhancement through the embracement of pharmaceutical resources available to improve the primary healthcare in a disadvantaged community with which it connects by development of future medicine in a unique and dedicated clinical research institution.
- Capacity building evolved from medicine development, thereby empowering more people with specific knowledge to grow the health and social well-being of their community, their region and the world at large.
- Good Clinical Practice principles and international guidelines adhered to by this Initiative benefits quality of our data delivered for the development of future medicine by the pharmaceutical industry. Regulatory and Ethics approvals are adhered to and Standard Operating Procedures guides our actions.

Capacity Building Statement
The Tsitsikamma Clinical Research Initiative was established in 2022. Our Initiative was born from the desire to actively make a difference, not just in our local area but world-wide. The purpose of this Initiative is to do capacity building for clinical research in our previously under serviced geographical area of the Garden Route and the bordering rural Eastern Cape areas. This is done to add value to the health services of our local communities.
Quality clinical data need to be delivered by dedicated staff, therefore we endeavour to involve as many Historically Disadvantaged Individuals as possible through our Initiative. Those interested are all given equal opportunity for both involvement and training.
